Constructivism holds that knowledge is not absolute, knowledge is learner's understanding of the object based on his/her own way of constructing it: self-adjustably contextualized, social interactive activity plays a crucial role in learning, thus it is necessary to construct the experimental, situational and interactive teaching model. The educational and pedagogical thought of constructivism has its theoretical and realistic significance on implementing the transition in our country from "test-orientation" education to quality education, on implementing the reform of ideology and politics course of secondary school. In view of educational belief, teaching content, teaching method, teaching means, the development of the teacher, there still exist less-developed phenomena in the subject of politics course in our country. These phenomena affect the improvement of secondary school student ideological and moral level. This thesis makes an analysis on the current problem exist in ideology and politics course of secondary school by using constructivism theory from the aspect of knowledge, learning student, roles of teacher and student and learning environment, and proposes corresponding measures: reforming educational belief, elaborating and improving teaching content and teaching method, enriching teaching means and enforcing the teacher's development, elaborating and improving classroom teaching quality. In a word, making full use of the role of constructivism theory and its influence on the reform of politics course of secondary school, making the politics course of secondary school keep the pace of the development of the time.
