Mathmatics is a basic compulsory course for all the students of various majors in professional medical schools. It plays an important role in learning knowledge, improving the comprehensive professional capability and futher studies and development. The author of this essay, having consulted research materials of foreign countries on the assessment of the teachers and conducted the current survey and investigation on the teachers and students of professional medical schools, found that we haven't paid enough attention to the math teaching in the professional medical schools and the teachers are not satisfied with the assessment of math teaching. The purpose of assessment of the teachers is to encourage the teachers to improve their proficiency in teaching and for the school to have a continued, independent development. However, in reality, during the course of assessment of the teachers while the assessed are always in the passive state, especially those concerned with employment and benefit of of their own interest. Thus the assessment is of great significance for teachers who are assessed. As a result, it leads to the contradiction between the authorties and the assessed which bring about the negetive effect to the develpopment of professional medical schools and to some extend hinder the their reform and development.For the studies of professional medical education, we haven't paid enough attention to the research work and for the materials available a few papers can be found concerning the assessment of the math teaching and the course designs of the teachers, if any, they lack of systematic and overall study and analysis. In recent years attention has been attached to the developmental assessment of the teachers. Compared with the methods of assessment of punishment and reward, it serves the purpose of improving the quality of teaching and the teachers and becomes an important means of promoting the development of professional education of teachers. Therefore, in this essay, with the point view of raising the initiative of imporvment of overall qualities of math teachers in professional medical schools and with the orientation study of how to keep the schools in the state of continuing development, the author has studied and analysed the standards and measures of the assessment of math teachers in professional medical education andexplored both in throry and practice the significence and concret measures of developmental assessment of teachers in professional medical schools so as to raise the quality of teaching in professional medical schools and bear the responsibilities of training qualified students for the society.In this essay the author tries to explore the measurement of "teaching will be assessed by the students and methodology will be assessed by the school" with the notion of the "everything for the students" based on the current assessment of teachers of professional medical schools and with the view of the development both for the teachers and medical schools. As for the result of assessment, the school authorities should follow the principle of "developmental assessment combine with the methods of punishment and reward" and "reward in place of punishment" and put forward necessary guidance and requirements for the teachers. The developmental assessment should be included in normal management of the schools for the development of both teachers and schools.
