Finland, a country in north Europe, is the model of winner in both education quality and education fairness. Finnish students won the champion titles in the last two successive PISA held by OECD, which focuses the world's attention. The result shows that the Finnish students' capabilities in reading, science, mathematics and question solving are high as a whole, without polarization. What is more enviable, the Finnish students' interest in studying is among the highest in developed countries, which is in sharp contrast with East Asian countries. For a time, Finnish education, especially the fundamental education, has attracted the attention of many countries. Many developed countries, including the U.S., are thinking about how to gain wisdom from Finnish education.Basing itself upon the analysis and comparison between Finnish and Chinese education, this thesis introduces comprehensively Finnish education system architecture and advanced experience in different education stages, and then summarizes preliminarily the reasons of the success of Finnish education, aiming to elicit some inspiration to Chinese education reform by contrast and guide the practice.The thesis follows the methodology of literature study, interviewing professionals and field study and survey, including massive reading of Finnish education documents, attending reading class in Sepon Koulu, visiting more the 10 libraries around Helsinki region to obtain first-hand materials provided by education experts.The advanced experience of Finnish education in different stages cleared up on this basis includes:1, Emphasis on the cultivation of students' reading ability since the compulsory educationstage;2, Flexible layout of courses in high-school education, and the "no-class teaching" system;3, Combining the manufacturing, teaching and researching in the higher education stage,and inverting the research achievements into real productivity upon its emergence.Research shows the main reasons for the success of Finnish education are:...
