Centering on the goal of Chinese curriculum reform, constructing to promoteChinese students' development appraising system progressively is the development trendof the development trend of education and appraisement on the Chinese languagedocument of middle schools. Chinese expansionary appraisal is based on another way ofunderstanding of scientific cognition of appraisal target and educational approaches, andis another understanding of people's essence in educational undertaking and anotherreorientation of educational teaching essence. This text drafts, according to the principleand spirit of the new curriculum standard, from advanced teaching theory and somesuccessful practical experience in the west, attempt to find out a new way of teachingappraisal of Chinese teaching of middle school which is suitable for the China's actualconditions. This text has first analyzed development and developing current situation inChinese teaching appraisal, pointing out that traditional Chinese appraise way putsundue emphasis on quantization evaluation, excessive to pay close attention to theresult but ignore the course, and strong drawback of seeking unification etc. Thusevaluation criterion is unfavorable to realize by taking advantage of appraising topromote student's development. Then, it explains the contents of expansionary studyappraisal and the importance of its research from the two aspects of theoreticalfoundation and research value, and explores to go on with basic types to expansionaryprinciple, function, pluralism of appraisal theoretically further, pointing outexpansionary appraisal change traditional appraisal which pays close attention to thesingle function of distinguishing and selecting, and stresses the direction function onappraisal, encouragement function, regulation and control function and appraisalfunction further at the same time. The main types appraised functionally divide intodiagnosing appraisal, forming appraisal and ending appraisal;According to appraisingsubjects it divides into student's appraising oneself, classmate's commenting eachother, teacher's appraising. The plural way of appraising helps to examine students'study situation omni-directionally and three-dimensionally. Seen from the present, themain developing direction of expansionary appraisal is pluralism, subject and opening.The pluralism of appraisal means new idea of education appraisal in education reformwith the examination, paying close attention to the investigation of student's overallqualities to promote students' overall development. The subject appraisal means thatthe appraisal should stress the course of development and changing outstandingly,paying close attention to students' subjective initiative and inspiring the positiveattitude. The opening appraisal means reflecting the course principle appraised ineveryday teaching and education activities, showing course principle of appraisal.For the last part, the theses construct concretely expansionary appraisal in theteaching practice with one bag of records and four respects from reading, writing,spoken communication and files mainly designed. Reading appraisal is done in theway of grade tests;writing appraisal is done by the way of appraising each other in agroup after careful and thoughtful preliminary preparation;spoken communicationappraisal stresses listening practice, and promote student's spoken communication bymeans of designing the debate, press conference, the matches of reading poems aloud;File bags evaluation assessment means a track record of every basic quality ofstudents. And through the records of each period in file bags, students can see theirown growth course clearly, and also can see one's own progress in Chinese. Chineseappraisal may greatly arouse the enthusiasm of students' studying Chinese, and alsocan stab student's emotion to Chinese seriously;it may lead Chinese education into awide world, and it may also lead Chinese education into" the blind alley". The moreimportant thing is the transition of the idea of Chinese Curriculum theory andappraisal. So long as it can proceed from students' interests and national interestsconscientiously and can be responsible for Chinese accomplishment of the wholenation, it is certain to find out appraisal ways in practice suitable for Chinese andstudents.
