Applied Research, Inquiry Learning Model In Secondary School Physical Education Teaching

Since the beginning of the 1980s,Inquiry learning, as the base of the basic education courses, has been became the important character of the curriculum reformation in basic education all over the world. In 2001, Ministry of Education started officially the reform of the elementary education, which used the "The Compendium of The Elementary Education Curriculum (try out implementation)" as the symbol. In the curriculum, it advocates the teachers to bring up the students' independence and self-determination, to guide the students to question, to investigate and to inquiry. The students can show their initiative and personality when they study in practice under the teachers' direction. So inquiry learning becomes one of the emphases of the new elementary education Curriculums' reform in China.In order to make the inquiry learning put into effect in the teaching, it is important to combine the inquiry learning and teaching. According to the physical education in high school, I expounded the theory of the inquiry learning's method and put the theory into practice. So the purpose of this research is to offer the objective basis for build the models of physical education and to cultivate the people to adapt the new times.This research uses documents, specialist interview questionnaire, teaching experiments, mathematics statistics and observation to study the model of inquiry learning' s teaching. The literatures and journals of sport science include China Sport Science, China Sport Science and Technology, Journal of Beijing University of Physical Education, Journal of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, Journal of Chengdu Sport University, etc. Therefore the ground of argument is abundant to know the research trends in this fields . In order to obtain more knowledge about inquiry learning, I visited some experts in this fields who are working in middle school, university, scientific research institute for suggestion. In addition, the research selected 1000 junior high school students who study in grade one as the object. All the students come from Hebei Langfang First Middle School, Xiayunfei Wushu School, and Shandong Zhangdian Seventh Middle School.The result of this study shows that: in students accepted the teaching mode of inquiry learning, people who like it is 82% of all people and who feel it so common is 12%.
