Means Of Secondary School Mathematics Teaching

Mathematics , as a main subject in high school is a science about numbers and space form. It combines strictness, logic, accuracy , creativity and imagination. From maths itself, maths teaching is a kind of thinking activity. The heart of it is to train the students' ability of bringing forth new ideas. It is also to develop human's creative mind and ability. In the past, maths teaching was based on knowledge but now it is on questions. The purpose of it is to stimulate classroom reform. As a teacher of maths in high school, I realize how important it is to learn maths well for the students. It even surpasses any other subject in importance. But as maths teaching medium is dull-only the blackboard and chalk- this often bores the students. As a result, many students lose their enthusiasm in learning maths. There is no doubt that maths itself is dull neither vivid nor lively. So the problem is how we can make it more interesting. Of course there are many teachers who have exploited a lot of time thinking hard to find out an effective method to make it more attractive but little success.This article is centered on this theme and at the same time by combine teaching practice the writer states some basic views on the conception of maths teaching methods, its characteristics, its application in the classroom , especially how to use multi-media in teaching and so on. It is certain that it will make maths teaching full of life. Besides it is also worth spreading in high schools.
