The mathematically excellent student is who have dense interest, strong ability of thinking alone, effective process in mathematic learning and remarkable achievement. And the mathematically common student is who have general interest, ineffective process in mathematic learning and general achievement. The writer analyzed and summarized the research actuality, and found that the former research had laid less focus on the pattern of consciousness, non-cognition, cognitive structure, revelatory action, meta-cognition, especially lack of systematic research. On the basis of what has achieved on the subject and the interview of two case studies, he put forward the hypothesis of the pattern of mathematically between the excellent students and the common students' learning mental trait. To get the opinions of the experts in education and middle school math teachers who have much experience in cultivating mathematically excellent students, he posed a questionnaire on the pattern. In view of the result of the questionnaire, he corrected the pattern. After the correction, he posed a questionnaire on the corrected pattern and made certain the pattern in view of the result of the questionnaire on the corrected pattern. Then to verify the pattern, he made an investigation. Through the investigation, he also found out the main learning mental traits of between mathematically excellent students and mathematically common students in junior school. On the above research, he got conclusions of the excellent students as followings:1. In consciousness; they are curious of mathematics learning and like asking questions.2. In non-cognition; they have explicit motive, strong interest and indomitable willpower in mathematics learning.3. In cognitive structure; they are good at observing mathematics object and memorizing mathematics knowledge. They have good mathematics comprehension. They like to change the problem.4. In revelatory action; they have good mathematic learning-habits, thorough mathematic learning-plan, and effective mathematic learning-pattern. They are participant in mathematic learning by themselves. They have kinds of ways to get the mathematic knowledge.5. In meta-cognition; they are good at supervising and controlling the process of solving problem, having the consciousness and habit of planning, supervising, reflecting, adjusting in the process of learning.Recognition and thinking:The interest is the motive of the mathematic learning. The attitude is the basis of the mathematic learning. The comprehension is the key of the mathematic learning. The method is the essential characteristic of the mathematic learning. The thinking capability and the consciousness of the efficiency are the guarantee of the mathematic learning. The controllable ability is the important part of the mathematic learning.
