For decades, science rationalism has been warmly supported and worshipped becauseof its strong power showed in the reform of the material world. The mode of thought andresearch method of science rationalism begin to dominate all areas of human society,including Chinese education. This situation results in the imbalanced development ofscience rationalism and humanism. In other words, the consequence is that the twoelements of humanism ——moral and intelligence start to slope seriously, and it is moredifficult for moral to control intelligence. The concrete embodiment is the depression ofsocial value, the loss of sense, the hollow spirit and the decline of moral. It can be said thatthe loss of spiritual realm causes human beings to involve in new predicament. Faced withsuch living state of the human, Chinese education has responsibility for rebuilding man'svalue ideal and spiritual realm to remove defects resulted from unilateral development ofscientism. One of the effective means is to seek solutions from china's traditionalConfucian culture, which has long been famous for abundance in humanism and focus onthe growth of human spiritual life. If the present Chinese education can analyze andtransfer the Confucian culture on the basis of modern spirit, fully carry on and expand itsrich humanism talent, it will undoubtedly play an active and lofty part in removinghardship as well as in advancing healthy road for human development.This thesis consists of four parts.The first part is on humanism sense of the Confucian culture. Firstly, the thesis makesa brief introduction of the Confucian Culture in a narrow sense, that is, from thedimension of spiritual achievements. Secondly, the thesis analyses humanismcharacteristics of the Confucian culture. The difference between the Confucian Cultureand other cultures is that the former focuses on man who lives in society. It also centers onethics and family. The Confucian culture aims to set up moral principles and etiquetteregulations based on human subject to make perfect humanism and harmoniousdevelopment of man and society comes true. It stresses spirit and moral. It advocatesethics and harmony. The Confucian culture, in addition, concentrates on spiritual aspect tocultivate sense of human life. Finally, the thesis touches on historical understanding of thetraditional Confucian culture. In the process of its development, no matter how hard thedevelopment is or how popular it is, the Confucian culture always has its own profoundhistorical and cultural background.The second part of the thesis is "the subject advantage and value of Chineseeducation's carrying forward the spirit of Confucian culture". In the first place, advantageis analyzed. Chinese subject is a humanism social subject with focuses on growth ofhuman life and it's the subject of our mother tongue. With strong humanism, expandingthe Confucian culture and spirit is one of the essences of the subject of Chinese education.Moreover, the era value of Chinese education's carrying forward the spirit of Confucianculture is indicated. Facing the current predicament of the human, if Chinese educationcan actively carry forward the traditional Confucian culture, it will show its unique valuein aspects of removing defects caused by unilateral development of scientism, constructingharmonious society and maintaining our nation's cultural characteristics.The third part deals with a modern analysis of humanism of the Confucian culture. Itmainly analyses representative parts of the Confucian culture in a modern sense. And thenanalyses how to make this precious humanism into our modern civilization so that offerreference for the modern society. The effects are reflected in the following three aspects.The first one concerns with active social spirit of the Confucian culture. Confucianism is alife philosophy that advocates man's strong willpower. The most typical embodiment ofactive social spirit is to relate self-cultivation to social skills, applying theory of refiningindividualities with a final aim of social cause. This spirit can constantly provide a nationwith high vigor and impetus. The second aspect is ethical values with the stress of virtueand moral, which has the strongest characteristics of the Confucian culture. Such ethicalvalue is first introduced to point out that it springs from a traditional humanism andetiquette system in Zhou Dynasty. Subsequently, Confucians advance towards a directionof self-reliant in moral in the course of exploration into humanism. Then the moral core ofConfucianism——"charity"connotation is explored as well. Subsequently the thesisanalyses some moral characters that Confucianism advocates and we should still carryforward nowadays. At last, the thesis explains the important significance of such value toour modern society. The third aspect is Confucian harmony notion that is on integration ofuniverse and human beings. The main connotation notion and its effects on modernsociety are further studied.Part four indicates how to apply the spirit of the Confucian culture to Chineseeducation. The era value of Confucian spirit needs to be realized by practical implement ofChinese education. Chinese education requires cooperation from various educationalsegments so as to accomplish its historical mission of carrying on and expand theConfucian culture. This part is explained in four aspects. First, strengthen humanismawareness in Chinese teaching notion;Second, the reflection of humanism in teachingmethod;Third, study and match of teaching material;Fourth, humanism construction ofschool environment.
