Scientific inquiry is one of the important teaching methods.Developing students abilities to make scientific inquiry is one of the important goals of the curriculum reform. The thesis analysis the demands of the students abilities required in the physics standards. The research is based on the analysis and practising the inquiry in the physics education, take the lengthways and transvers comparion to study the level of the components of the scientific inquiry abilities,to wonder the value of the practice in the physics education, also to find the limition existing .The thesis consists of six parts, in the preface of which, the contemporary background and the research significance are introduced in brief. In the second part,the basic theory on education and psychology is expatiated systematically. In the third part, the connotation of the ability of scientific inquiry is discussed to make the targets. In the forth part, the cultivating way and research method are discussed thoroughly. The conclusion and suggestion in physics education are given in the last part.
