During the reform of science education, people gradually realized the importance of scientific inquiry in cultivating students' scientific diathesis. The thesis discusses the inquiry contents choice and the necessity and the feasibility of cultivating the students' ability of scientific inquiry in physics instruction in high school, based on the reality of science education in our country. Theory analysis method are used to draw an education project, and a preliminary discussion on which is done by educational practice.The thesis is composed of five parts. In the foreword, it introduces the social background and the practical meaning for cultivating the students' ability of scientific inquiry in physics instruction in high school. The working in this field done by foreigners is also mentioned in this part. In the second part, the basic theory's on Course ability education theories and Development psychology is expatiated systematically, so dose the theory's instructive meaning for this thesis. It also discusses the didactical base for cultivating the students' ability of scientific inquiry in physics instruction in hight school. In the third part, the principle of the inquiry contents choice and the method of educated the scientific inquiry ability in the physics instruction is expatiated. In the fourth part ,some suggestion is mentioned to educate high school student's scientific inquiry ability.
