In 2004, the policy that the length of study of higher vocational education (hereafter referred to as HVE) should be changed from 3 years to 2 years (hereafter referred to as "three to two" ) issued by the educational department caused a great backwash in the relative fields. This paper points out that the reform of the length of study of HVE is a systematic project. Under the employment orientation, HVE should choose multiple length of study to adapt to various needs. From the theoretical point of view, the paper analyzes the mathematical mode of the length of study of HVE, then point out the theoretical support. From the practical point of view, the paper advances the practical needs and international experience of multiple choice of length of study of HVE. At the end of this paper, it offered some advice and assurance conditions about how to realize the multiple choice of length of study. There are three purposes to do this research. The first one is edification. It tries to incite people to pay special attention to the multiple choice of length of study of HVE. The second one is reference. The study can provide a full-scale reference about the relative factors of the choice of the length of study of HVE. The third one is application. It tries to provide a reasonable guide for the reform of study of study of HVE.
