Due to various of historical and realistic reasons , the sense of questioning of Chinese middle school students in Chinese study is generally weak. Learning comes from thinking while thinking is deeply rooted in Questioning, in modern psychology, all of the movements of thinking begin with questions, which are the starting point of thought. Thinking without questions is one which is both superficial and passive. A good sense of questioning is the precondition and base of innovation. As a result, in Chinese class teaching, teachers should pay more attention to motivating students' activity in thinking, cultivate their sense of questioning. With the deepening of the reforming in Chinese teaching, we are caring more and more about the cultivation in teachers' skill of presenting questions in classes, but we are still quite limited within the one-way lingual communication like teacher asking and student answering, in which students lack a sense of further study in the things they are learning about. In this way, the individualism of the students cannot be well implemented and their ability of innovation can not be improved while their initiative of study can not be presented either. In Chinese teaching, teachers are required to be skilled in bring out students' sense of questioning, make sure that students form a reasonable and basic course of discovering questions, studying questions, answering questions and making new questions. Teachers should also advocate discovering ,active and cooperative styles in learning, make an effort to cultivate students creative thinking and improve their quality in Chinese in an all round way. In practicing, teachers of Chinese ought to converse their idea of teaching, adapt new teaching methods and build up new style of relationship between teachers and students. During the course of teaching, they should also create more and more situations, teach students more skills in asking questions, lead students to discovering and cultivate their sense of questioning. This thesis was written to make a primarily discussion on the significance in cultivating students sense of questioning, pointing out the reality and causes as well as the strategy in such attempt.
