Use Of Local Environmental Resources For Environmental Education Practice And Research

This essay is based on scientific development view, the continuable development theory, environmental science, and the theory of educational science. Combined with the law of middle school students' cognitive development, using such methods as literature analysis, geography survey, and experiment, this essay mainly probes into the content, the approaches and the methods of using the local environmental resource to implement the environmental education.This essay firstly gives a brief statement of the history, the connotation and the development of environmental education. Then through researching the environment conditions of Nanjing Yanjiang Industrial Development Zone, this essay deals with how to explore and utilize resources of environmental education, how to guide students through integrating relevant knowledge and applying it to analyzing the environmental problems around them.As has been proved through practice, there lie abundant resources of environmental education in local areas, especially in the chemical industrial zones. As geography teachers, we should try our best to teach the students to pay attention to the local environment, and use their knowledge to analyze the environmental problems, and think about how to solve them.The essay comes to a conclusion that we should make good use of local environmental resources in the environmental education, so that we can not only improve the students' attainment in environment study, but also help them form clearer ideas of their local environment, as well as make a contribution to improving their local environment.
