Smuggling Of Junior High School Values

Toudu is Chinese common saying of illegal immigrating, which has brought about lots of social problems in coastal areas of Fujian, Meanwhile, the values of the junior high students there are influenced deeply. It is disadvantageous for the junior high students who are in the process of growing. However, the studies on junior students' values influenced by Toudu are not available; therefore, I hope that my thesis is helpful.Fuzhou is the area where Toudu happens greatly. The thesis is about the values of the junior high students influenced by the social practice — Toudu by using the example of the junior students on Langqi Island of Fuzhou. Questionnaire, talk method and analysis are handled with the knowledge of the special fields like, Education, Social Sciences and Development Psychology in the thesis.The thesis majors in the Junior high students' value, such as life, morals, career, study and happiness and analyses the causes influenced by Toudu. In addition, some significant and practical ways for values education are provided in order to cultivate the junior students with the positive and proper values.On the basis of the survey research of 350 junior students, the findings are:Firstly, most junior students in the area have positive and proper values; however, a few of them advocate individualism and lay great stress personality.Secondly, the motive for immigration is gradually weak in the coastal area and illegal immigration tends to be strictly legitimate and diversified, therefore, legal system education is irresistible.Thirdly, values are the reflection of cognition and needs. The different needs are equal to different selection of jobs. Most of the junior students in the area lack of proper and independent think partly because of restriction from their families, which causes them to work abroad through illegal immigration.Fourthly, there is increase in the number of the left-behind children because more and more parents work abroad through Toudu. The left-behind children have an idea that it is the happiest thing to be with their parents.Fifthly, families, schools and society are the main three channels by which the value of the junior students in the costal area are shaped. Values education mainly depends on school education with assistance of families and society.
