The main task of the thesis is to analyze the students' ability of analysis and synthesis. The study is carried out by way of model exercises in physics, situational exercises in physics and original physical problems. The basic process is to study the students' ability of analysis and synthesis present in doing the exercises and answering the papers in three test papers made up by the author, which cover the same knowledge but in different ways.There are eight sections:The first section: analyze the importance and necessity of the study of Senior students' ability of analysis and synthesis.The second section: have a glimpse of the study both at home and abroad by referring to some related materials; analyze what we've already achieved and point out the necessity of further study.The third section: sum up the theory needed in my study.The fourth section: introduce the design of my study, including: the train of thought, the method of study, the choice of exercises, the analysis of the data and the prediction of the data processing.The fifty to the seventh section: analyze systematically the result of the test. First, present the result through the diagram. Second, analyze the quality of the papers from three indexes: dependence, degree of difficulty and differentiation. At last, I analyze the ability differences between the students in experimental class and common classes.The eighth section: show the result of the study and advice on teaching based on the former study. Also I point out the shortage of my study and the problems to be solved.
