With the progress of science and technology, human nature is distorted and gradually away from natural emotion world. As the natural existence and symbol of nature, children's value is ignored. Rousseau praises children, extols nature and hope that people can keep the natural sincerity and fineness, and get to the life state of blending with nature harmoniously. Thus he puts forward the principle of natural education, appeals that education should conform to children's characteristics and obey order of nature.The essence of natural education is keeping children away from all the bias and falsehood, creating natural surroundings where children can develop their body, feeling and thinking, make their own judgment according to the authentic relationship of matters to acquire completely correct opinions. The outcome of natural education is that children possess laborer's body and philosopher's mind. Education should foster "maturely grown child", give them an open air to enjoy the happiness of childhood and the enrichment of life significance. Teach child as a child, not as a doctor. The ultimate purpose is that children can explore real knowledge beneficial for happiness and live a natural and free life.This thesis mainly uses the method of literature review and discusses from three parts. First, it summarizes the strong points of Rousseau's theory on children education according to nature, then examines its influence in the process of modern education and finally approaches its inspiration on basis of china's educational history and reality. The conclusions of this thesis are: educational purpose should be benefiting children's growth and increasing their happiness; education should endow children "limited freedom"; education should foster "maturely grown child" according to the principles of their psychological development; the teaching process should initiate children's active learning and research; labor and practice education should be developed for children.Rousseau's theory opens the door of modern research on children education, arouses people to value the process of natural growth, and pushes forward the great change of modern education centered in children. Entile has been introduced to China for more than one hundred years, during which China modern education shot and expands. Rousseau's theory on children education will still afford important enlightenment for educational research and practice, and present strong vitality in the future.
