In modern society,human beings are surrounded by reinforced concrete forests and are isolated from the natural world.Children who grow up in modern society are inevitably alienated from nature.However,as individuals in the process of growth and development,nature is of great significance to them.Losing the nourishment of nature will seriously affect their growth.It is an indisputable fact that modem children generally suffer from "Nature-deficit Disorder".Therefore,what are the manifestations and consequences of children's "Nature-deficit Disorder"?What are the reasons?What can be done for education as an important guiding force for children's growth?It is extremely necessary and urgent to seek answers to these questions.This study is divided into three parts,which answer the above questions.In the first part,the author mainly analyzes the concept of children's "Nature-deficit Disorder".First of all,the article discusses why children need to be close to nature.This is the conceptual premise of children's "Nature-deficit Disorder",including the connection between human beings and nature,the close relationship between children and nature,and the meaning of nature to children.Secondly,this paper describes the manifestations of children's "Nature-deficit Disorder",including the lack of time to contact with nature,the single form of contact between children and nature,and the resulting series of physical and mental health problems.Thirdly,the paper analyzes the consequences of children's "Nature-deficit Disorder",including the hindrance to children's intellectual development,the harm to children's concept of nature,and impact on children's interpersonal ethics.On the basis of clarifying the concept of children's "Nature-deficit Disorder",the second part of the study is the analysis of the causes of children's "Nature-deficit Disorder".Firstly,human development squeezes the space of nature,including the invasion of nature by urban expansion,the encirclement of children in the material world in the materialistic era,and the invisible enlargement of the distance between children and nature in the process of environmental protection.Secondly,the electronic media in the information age has also turned some of the children's attention from the real world to the virtual world.Its convenience has also caused children's general "Indoorsy"phenomenon,reducing the opportunities for children to go to nature;Again,education as the important force to promote children's growth and the research field of vision,has a certain degree of thrust in the formation of children's "Nature-deficit Disorder".Including the reduction of children's free time under academic pressure,excessive safety protection,which hinders children and nature,and divisional teaching to alienate nature into subject knowledge and the instrumentalized view of nature held by modern education has increased children's alienation from nature.The factors influencing the alienation between children and nature are three aspects:time,natural conditions and children's own will.Therefore,in the analysis of the causes of this part,although each cause has different influences on the three,each cause has the meaning of the three aspects.The third part of the study is based on an educational perspective to explore the current situation of children's "Nature-deficit Disorder" and how education can be done.The author believes that,first of all,education should transform its own instrumental view of nature;secondly,train children to become "children of nature" rather than "material possessors",paying attention to children's meaning education and nature view education;again,education should not become children's closeness Natural obstacles require educators to take children's happiness as an educational goal.At the same time,they should grasp the degree of safety protection for children,learn to let go,and strengthen media education for children,so as to provide free time and opportunities for children;In the practical activities,the creation of eco-diversity "ecological schools",combined with the relevant curriculum design and the implementation of specific activities,create sufficient conditions and guarantees for children to get along with nature in school.
