With the developing of the course reforms, Computer Technology and Information Technology get sufficient application in education, and the VI (Virtual Instrumentation) technology is gradually accepted and used in education and teaching. The Virtual Instruments can acquire the true scene data , analyze the data easily and present the results in many ways. That the Virtual Instrumentation represents the instrument's developing trend, has embodied "a software is the instrument" characteristic. With a virtual instrument, we can customize the acquisition, analysis, storage, sharing, and presentation functionality using productive, powerful software. So we can do many experiments with one set of instruments. It is easy to overcome the traditional instrument's disadvantages: great quantities, unstable, inaccurate and so on. A virtual instrument typically has a sticker price comparable to a similar traditional instrument for the current measurement task. It can also strengthen students' hands-on ability and ability to innovate. The main body of the article introduces the fundamental theory of the VI (Virtual Instrumentation) technology , the virtual instrumentation software platform - LabVIEW, several common virtual instruments such as virtual signal generator, double-traced oscilloscope and so on. And I developed several middle school physics experiment cases, using the related virtual instruments. Hope that my work is helpful for the middle school teachers and students to learn about the Virtual Instrumentation, that teachers and students can do experiments or design experiments with virtual instruments, and that we can broaden the technology route of the middle school physics experiment.
