With the wide application of information technology,it is necessary for the information technology courses in junior high school to aim at the students' using of information technology to solve practical problems. Owing to this background,it becomes a general phenomenon to develop subject learning in the teaching of information technology in junior high school. However,this new mode of teaching exists many problems in the practical application. Some teachers think that the subject learning is the self-learning of the students. Some teachers understand that the subject learning is the combination of teaching and practising and ask the students to follow them. All these methods lead to the students lack the ability of learning and have no real subject learning of themselves in the information technology courses in junior high school. In view of these problems, this paper first analyses the meaning of subject learning and it sums up three ways which are suitable for the teaching of information technology in junior high school. The first way: Students are asked to carry out the main study in the well-designed system by teachers. The second way: Teachers guide students to develop subject learning. The third way: Teachers and students are considered as the main body in the teaching process. On the basis of this, this paper presents the design process of subject learning activities which consists four steps, pre-analysis of learning activities, the choice of the way of subject learning activities, the design implement of subject learning activities and the evaluation of subject learning activities. According to the design process, this paper selects three representative teaching contents in the new trial materials of the information technology of junior high school of Nanjing and conducts the corresponding design of subject learning activities at the same time to illustrate the three ways of subject learning activities in further. Finally, based on the requirements of materials and the circumstances of learners, this paper sorts out the programs of subject learning activities in the whole set of new materials of information technology of junior high school.
