The main goal of the Information Technology education in middle and elementary schools in the 21st century is to enable students to obtain, convey, process, and utilize information, to develop information attainment, to consider Information Technology as a mean of supporting lifelong study and collaboration study, and to prepare themselves to accustom to the studying, working and living in the information society. Therefore, the society of the 21st century is in need of people that are highly creative and have strong information capabilities, such as information obtaining, information analyzing, and information processing capabilities. However, the traditional Information Technology teaching method does not encourage students to explore and solve problems proactively, and thus students'potential information capabilities are hardly developed, especially in those areas that are underdeveloped or even isolated from the numerous information resources. As a giant information resource reservoir,Special Subject Website provides an equal, free, and open environment, which stimulates students to participate actively in study activities, and thus it could be an effective approach to accelerate the integration of Information Technology and Courses.This study is designed from the view of the integration of Information Technology and Courses. By building Special Subject Website which provides resource environment, it could improve the status quo of the inadequacy of Information Technology teaching resources in middle schools. The entire experiment is based on Special Subject Website, where Resource Utilization, Subject Exploration, and Collaboration Study composed the masterstroke of the study activity in order to gradually reach the goals of teaching. The scheme of teaching design includes the goals of teaching, the analysis of teaching contents, the analysis of learners, the design of teaching strategy, the study resource and the design of teaching evaluations etc. The experiment of applying the Special Subject Website based study to the Information Technology classes in middle schools verified that the goals of Information Technology teaching can be reached and consolidated in such classes, and that students are improved in their capabilities of analyzing and processing information. This experiment also verified that students are enabled to understand more about the subject contents. Therefore, it sets a good example for those areas that are left behind in terms of Information Technology environment, and those that are lack of study resources. |
