On The Honesty Education In The Course Of History

Honesty and faithfulness, a fundamental moral principle and activity criterion in the human society, has been obeyed by Chinese people, which is an important principle in current political, economic ,cultural, juridical , educational activities. And the curriculum standard of history makes clear course function in history course reform: That is to cultivate the future citizens' sound personal particularities which include nation, legislation, and faithfulness consciousness etc. These concepts come into being new history teaching principles.The thesis begins with analysis of connotation and denotation of faithfulness, and then the author reflects the situation of modern history education, and points out the honesty teaching in Chinese schools is not perfect. Finally the author analyses the causes of defection of honesty teaching. They are "teaching materials compilation limitation", "left" concepts, "teacher- centered" not "student- centered" in traditional history teaching in senior high schools, the affection of "national college entrance exam" and "unbalanced evaluation". These factors are represented clearly.Furthermore, the study puts forward the approaches and cases of the implementation of remoulding honesty education . They are:(1) Projecting "seeking truth" and "being realistic" to remould the quality of honesty in the subject.(2) Paying more attention to "artless and effective teaching" to remould the honesty consciousness in the course teaching .(3) Attaching importance to "original history materials" to remould the study style of historical research of positivism.(4) Making much of the platform of "national college entrance exams" to lead students to remould personal quality of "seeking truth" and "being realistic".(5) Perfecting the evaluation system to promote the social credit of history education.
