Read The Characteristics Of Children's Picture Books And Family Reading Education Research

The research, mainly uses the methods of quantative and qualitative, which contain test, interview, observation and questionnaire. It discribs and analyses the reading features of picture books for children aging from 5 to 6 years old. It compares the ideas and chioces for the picture books between children and their parents. It suveys the condition and the situation for book reading in children's families. Then it analyses the differences and reasons between the children's reading fetures and parents'reading education.The research obtains the following results. Most children can master the skill of right reading, the body gestures and complexions are various in children's reading, which producing the aesthetic emotion. Children prefer the pictures to the literacies . They are more interested in the character or episode in the picture book. Children like the picture books which discribe the people or the world which they are familiar with, and which express the positive idea.All of the parents can understand the concept of picture book, the storing and purchase of picture books are optimistic. All the children read picture books in their families, most of them adopt the parent-child reading. Parents seldom creat reading environment for children actively, the parent-child interaction is fewer, and the methods are dull.Finally, by analysing the different reasons between the reading features of picture books for children and the reading education for their parents, the researcher proposed some suggestions to parents and the authors of picture books based on the favor and reading features of picture books for children.
