Poor Students In The System Of Local Colleges And Universities

In China, in the process of the mass higher education, more and more students who come from rural areas especially from fanners' family study in local colleges and universities. It seems that they have been provided the same opportunities as the others, but in fact bigger and bigger gap has been produced between them in the process of education because of the neglect of administration, and even more worse, this situation will lead to a serious inequality after they finish the higher education. Based on the investigation, this article analyses the inequality of higher education opportunity in local colleges and universities and the problems of support system, then the article suggests central and local governments and local colleges and universities how to help these students enlarge their development space and enforce their ability of competition, and only to do so, the gap lying between them can be smaller and smaller, and more equal in education and more harmonious in society will be realized.
