There are two viewpoints in the western history of philosophy. The research about subjective well-being by western researchers comes into being three traditions, such as living quality, psychological well-being, and psychological development tropism. As to the technology for measuring, most of the past researches use self report measurement. But there are many other methods as the important parts of the research into subjective well-being.This research bases on the well-being theory of experience. Using SWBS and PWI, the research has 1488 woman subjects from six cities of China. SWBS contains 54 items. PWI contains the satisfaction of seven aspects. The two scales are proved to have good reliability and validity.The research has significant meaning from academic and realistic aspects. First, sampling from the range of China, the research investigates in the subjective well-being of urban Chinese women. It can consummate and deepen the urban theory. Second, the Communist Party has put social harmony into an important place, and the urban women group is an important power. The research can help us to realize the rule of urban Chinese women's subjective well-being, and advance the level of subjective well-being.The following is the results:1. SWBS is proved to have good reliability and validity aiming at urban Chinese women.2. The subjective well-being of urban Chinese women has no significant difference from the national mean level. In Psychological Health and Physical Health Experience scales, the score is significantly under the mean level, and in Aim and Health Experience scale, the score is significantly over the mean level.3. Age is an important factor that affects the subjective well-being of urban Chinese women. Elder women score significantly higher than the young group.4. Marital status is an important factor that affects the subjective well-being of urban Chinese women. The married scores significantly higher than widows and the divorce group, the unmarried group higher than the divorce group. 5. Education is an important factor that affects the subjective well-being of urban Chinese women. The group who has college education experience score significantly higher than other groups.6. Earning is also an important factor that effects the subjective well-being of urban Chinese women. The medium level group and the low level group scores significantly higher than the high level one.7. The scores of urban Chinese women on PWI have significantly positive correlations with the scores on SWBS. 5 variables can positively forecast the subjective well-being.
