Since the new curriculum reform, Chinese education research has witnessed a flourishing phenomenon. In numerous study perspectives, culturalism of Chinese education has been elevated to a more prominent position. However, the traditional Chinese educational research methodology is not suitable for the present development of Chinese education. The inadequateness of Chinese education Research methodology is the main factor of current problems in this region. Based on the previous research, the author defines the concept of Chinese research methodology preliminarily. Chinese education research methodology is a multi-level, three-dimensional theory system, which belongs to historical category. From vertical perspective, it contains philosophy methodology, Chinese education science research methodology of the concrete study ways and means in a particular historical period. From a horizontal perspective, Chinese education research methodology mainly includes Chinese appropriate education core research method factors and its basic features, the ontology factors of Chinese education research methodology as well as the linkages between other research methods. Its purpose is to provide Chinese education research with overall complete theoretical basis, to promote the development of Chinese education by exploring and studying the relations between the object of Chinese education and the suitability on it.Chinese education research methodology is a historical category, which shows different manifestations in the form in different historical periods. Traditional, modern and present Chinese educational research methodologies all have unmerits, which lead to so many problems the current Chinese education. Chinese education research methodology call for a new theoretical support. In concert with Chinese curriculum standards, anthropological research methodology has good relevance with Chinese education in external form and internal nature. Chinese education introduces anthropological research, forms Chinese educational anthropology research methodologyon the base of phenomenology and interpretationology, which shows different characteristics of the theoretical value and significance. Anthropological research methods apply to specific Chinese education, the basic procedure is the classroom scene study, educational ethnography of written analysis, theoretical structure of the Chinese education. Of course there are also some unmerits of anthropological research methodology, but we will benefit greatly from clear understandings of these deficiencies on Chinese education Research.The stones from other mountains can be made into jade. Despite the lacking of materials, the research of Chinese education methodology is still at the trial stage. The specific application is still pending on further study, but relatively weak in the language of educational research methodology. Drawing lessons from the research methodology other disciplines on Chinese education research methodology is the only way. Anthropological research methodology can be regarded as a good reference to the Chinese education.
