During the Information Technology age, the competition between the talented people is becoming sharper and sharper. The students our society needs are those with not only high qualities of scientific, cultural, healthy and psychological level, but also the high ability of social adoptability to the society they live in. However, some relevant reports show that there exists many kinds of problem for our college students in these aspects. All these problems are closely connected with our college assessment method to our students'study results in their physical education (P. E.) class.This essay makes a progress assessment which is developed through experiment and research and is consistent with modern P.E idea. It is based on the principles of"National University P.E. Teaching Guidance"and is under the directions of modern pedagogics and psychology. The theory is used to judge the students'study result in P.E. class. The essay then analyzes the function in which the theory makes in promoting students ability in quality of body health, psychological situation and social adoptability and also about sports partaking.The purpose of this study is to try to change the disadvantageous situation in our P.E. teaching and learning, and provide reference for the reform in our college P.E. teaching.In the process of research, the essay makes a careful and deep study on the progress assessment method and the variable control of the experiment by using literature method, experimental statistics, logical analysis and other method. The progress assessment decreases the functions in distinguishing students, while strengthen the functions in encouraging and developing. The progress assessment uses active system to make research, which, not only follows the principle of creatures evolution"moving forward, and never lagging behind", but also embodies that the improving of constitution and sports ability is a process that follow proper sequence and make steady progress.From the point of objective reality of difference between the individual constitution and sports ability, the progress assessment theory makes students overcome the disadvantages of traditional examination and assessment method. It breaks through the frame that"everyone is equal before the standards of grading". Such a method is useful to promoting the students'ability both in advantage and disadvantage items in P.E. class in each degree, and tap their talent potentiality. As a result, common students can become good and good students will become better, or even best. So this theory is much more apply to different kind of students, and increase all kinds of students'interest. It adjust to the requirement of modern P.E. theory. The theory also embodies the humanity - spiritual educational notion, which is"Human, the first."The results that using progress assessment theory in P.E. class can promote the improvement of student's body quality and body health, improve students'psychological quality of self-confidence, determination quality, human mutual communication and social adoptability. Progress assessment can enhance the students'activity of partaking and exercises. It plays a positive role in fostering students'interests in P.E. class, in sports enthusiasm and in sports consciousness in their whole life. |
