Purpose: To investigate the current situation, characteristics and existing problems of the old people's physical training in Hebei province and analyze the relevant diseases, we are trying to prescribe suitable and scientific exercise for the old people in order to reduce the old people's illness frequency rate, and finally promote their participation in physical training and the rate of reaching the health standard.Method:1.Method of Questionnaire864 old people aged 60—69 completed the unified questionnaire about the civic constitution and health checkup record. The content investigated includes: basic conditions (sex, age, jobs before retirement, height and weight); the condition of physical training and disease.2.Method of DocumentsThe documents consulted by the author include:I .more than 30 pieces of documents on old people physical training as well as how to treat the old people's disease by kinesitherapy;II .over 70 pieces of papers and documents about the civic body building and the supervision of the whole nation's constitution; III. about 10 books on old people's body building .All the documents mentioned above are from the full-text-journal database of Elsevier SDOS and cnki.( website: www. elsevier.com, www.cnki.net )The questionnaire was designed with the help of some experts and relative documents.3. Method of Data StatisticsThe data were processed by the Spss11.5 of Excel Database. And Chi-square test was used to compare the differences between the participation in physical training and morbidity. P<0.05 was used as a standard for the judgement of obvious level, and P<0.01 for an extremely obvious level. Research Result:1 The present situation of the elderly doing physical exercise in Hebei Province1.1 Willingness of doing physical exerciseThe elderly in the urban area are more willful to do physical exercise than those in the rural area.The percentages that they do physical exercise every week(75.7% and 22.2% respectively) are of significant difference.The elderly who do physical exercise more than five times in the urban area are 70%, much higher than that of those who do the same in the rural area, which is 20%.And the elderly who do physical exercise more than 60 minutes every time in the urban area are much more than those of the rural area.The difference between the two genders of the elderly who do physical exercise is not of significance.1.2 Acording to the research, the main purpose of doing physical exercise is to treat and prevent diseases, improve physical capacity , reduce stress and regulate emotion. The percentages of male and female who do physical exercise for the above purposes are as follows : 49.0% and 48.5%, 25.1% and 27.1%. 15.3% and 11.7% respectively.1.3 Main approaches of physical exercise: walking, cycling, body-building exercises and Qigong1.4 Main factors affecting the elderly who do physical exercise:Among the reasons for those who do no physical exercises: "lack of interest" and "no time" account for 15% and 22.3% respectively for the male elderly; "no time" , "lack of interest" and "other" account for 12.9%, 8.3% and 2.3% respectively for the urban female; and " too much housework""no interest" and "inert" account for 42.7%,14.3% and 11.9% respectively for the rural female elderly.1.5 Survey about the effect of physical exercise to the elderly:The percent of pass of those who do physical exercise is 71.7% and that of those who do no physical exercise is 36.1%.2 The analysis about the survey of illness among the elderly in Hebei province 2.1 The percentage of getting disease among people aged 60-69 is 5 4.8%, 43.8% for the male and 50.9% for the female respectively. The percentage of illness among the urban elderly is 50.5%,lower than that of the rural elderly, which is 59.0%.2.2The distribution characteristics of disease among different groups of elderly peopleThe percentage of getting cardio-cerebral vascular disease among the urban male aged 60 to 64 is 33.6%, which is double that of those aged 65 to 69, and four times that of the rural female of the same age, and is much higher than that of the female both in the urban and rural area.The percentage of getting high blood pressure among the female aged between 60 to 64 is higer than that of those between 65 and 69, and three times of that of the female of the same age and male of the same age in the rural area.The percentage of getting digestive disease among female elderly between 60 and 64 is 45.3%,much higher than that of the urban elderly. The percentage of cardio-cerebral vascular diseases is the highest among the rural elderly between 65 and 69.3. The analysis about the relations between physical exercise and percentage of disease3.1 The relation between whether to do physical exercise and diseaseThe percentage of getting disease for the people who do no physical exercise is 59.6%, and the percentage of disease for the people who do physical exercise is 50.8%. The difference is of significance (P<0.01).3.2 The relation between the average time spent on physical exercise and the percentage of diseaseThe percentage of getting disease for those who do physical exercise more than 30 minutes every time is 42.72%, and for those who do physical exercise less than 30 minutes is 72.0% . The difference is of significance (P <0.01).Conclusion:1.The healthy condition of city old people aged 65-69 is better than the people aged 60-64.2.The physical training awareness and qualification rate of the rural old people is weaker and lower than the city.3.The main ways of exercises of the old people in Hebei province are on foot, bicycle, calisthenics and Chi Kung, most old people in rural is engaged in the housework.4.The percent of the old people with chronic disease who participate physical exercises in Hebei province is 50.8, it can be concluded that the healthy situation is unoptimistic.
