Localized curriculum is developed by the local cities and has obvious characteristics of their own. Localized curriculum is an important part of the elementary education system. It is devised on the base of local economy and social development in the aim of meeting the specified requirements set by the local authority. Nantong localized culture envelopes our particular culture into the curriculum. We want to explore the native culture resource and carry out many activities in the aim of continuing the valuable custom at the same time enhance students Chinese proficiency. We also want to construe a useful curriculum model to match the Chinese education.This curriculum consists of three chapters. The first chapter begins with the characteristics of Nantong culture, furthered by the importance and possibility of curriculum development. The second chapter begins with the object of the development of Nantong localized culture, and lay stress on the contents of the curriculum. The third chapter gives out the construction of Nantong localized culture and put forward my own ideas of how to arrange the curriculum in detail as well as the assessing methods.
