Integrated curriculum of practical activity, a new object born in the current elementary education reform, is a form of curriculum which is based on the students' direct experience, closely relates to their own school and social life, and reflects the comprehensive application of the knowledge. Its core value is that it realizes the curriculum's return to the world of life, which means that the integrated practical activity is a curriculum in life, by life and for life, and which in turn decides the life orientation of the design of this curriculum.As far as the nature of education and the relationship between education and life are concerned, the life orientation of the design of integrated curriculum of practical activity should cover all the fields of human life. However, is it the case with the life orientation of the current curriculum design? Why or why not? Further educational practice is needed to clarify these problems. For this aim, we came to the primary school S, referring to Bobbit's analysis on the activity area of human life, to carry out a sparrow research on S's design of integrated curriculum of practical activity, with a hope of obtaining the basic frame of the life orientation of this curriculum design in the current elementary education.The research results show that the life orientation of this curriculum design in S mainly focuses on the citizen activity, capacity cultivation and maintenance activity, actual nonprofessional activity, and leisure activity, and considers the common social activity, family activity, verbal activity and health activity to certain extent.Further analysis shows that such life orientation of S's curriculum design attributes to the influences of traditional education, the caution of current situation, the pressure of social environment, the requirement of the curriculum goal and so on. Besides, the effect of such orientation to the realization of this curriculum's values and the development of students is positive as well as negative.According to our analysis of the cause of formation and advantages and disadvantages of S's life orientation of integrated curriculum of practical activity, as well as Bobbitt's analysis on the activity area of human life, we carry out a tentative formation of the life orientation of integrated curriculum of practical activity as a reference for schools in now days .
