Guiding college students' employment is a kind of organized educational practice that educators help college students to plan their prospective career, foster their ability and choose the suitable jobs according to the students' own characters and the need of the society so as to promote the harmonious development of students and society. The work is of great importance to college students' employment and development and the steady development of higher education. And it is important work that all the college and universities should pay special attention to. To do the work well, we must, first of all, have a thorough understanding and make a scientific study of it. Based on the analysis of the necessity of guiding college students' employment, the present paper elaborates in great detail the various aspects such as the content of the work, its methods, the construction of its instructor team, and safeguard measures so that its key points and the goal of the work are clearly shown.The whole paper consists of various parts as follows:Part I: It analyzes, from three aspects, the necessity of the scientific study of the work. First, it points out the fact that college students need the employment guidance. Second, the present situation of college students' employment is introduced. Third, the significance of the scientific study of the work is illustrated.Part II: It discusses the content of the work at length, which is dealt with from such aspects as the situation and policy, law and regulation, information, ideological education, psychological level, career planning, job choosing strategies and special groups instruction etc.Part III: It probes the methods of guiding college students' employment. On the one hand, scientific instruction methods are illustrated from the point of view of the psychological and other approaches; on the other hand, how to make good use of modern educational facilities such as multimedia and network technology are discussed.Part IV: It explores the establishment of a high-quality instructor team guiding college students' employment, covering the following aspects: first, all the educators should understand better the importance of guiding college students' employment; second, the instructors' guiding level should be improved; third, efficient instructor teams, full-time or part-time, should be constructed.Part V: It discusses how to enhance college students' employment from the angle of establishing and strengthening safeguard measures. It mainly probes from the aspects such as the establishment of curriculum system, efficiency evaluation system, excitation mechanism, hardware construction and resource utilization etc.
