| "Ideological and political work in colleges is a process of clearing up confusion...It is necessary to respond in time to the real confusion in students’ study,life,and social practices and that they encounter in films and television dramas as well as in the heated public discussion",said General Secretary Xi Jinping at the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges.Moral kidnapping,as a hot issue,has attracted widespread attention in college students.Many college Students who have confusion and misunderstanding about moral kidnapping need to be well guided.However,considering the discussion of moral kidnapping is not adequate and thorough enough in academic circles,it is hard to resolve college students’ doubts comprehensively and deeply at present.Since the college students’ misunderstanding of moral kidnapping is harmful to both individuals and the whole society,it is necessary to find solutions to help the college students get out of the misinterpretation by defining the concept of moral kidnapping and comprehensively analyzing the causes and hazards of the misconception.To this end,the thesis is composed of four parts.The first part mainly discusses the theoretical definition of moral kidnapping.As the misunderstanding of moral kidnapping is directly related to its confusing definition,a clear concept of moral kidnapping can be the foundation to identify the misconception.There are two elements of moral kidnapping: the super-compulsory nature of the moral requirement made by one to another,and the kidnapping nature of the requesting method.The two elements constitute a sufficient and necessary condition for moral kidnapping.The second part analyzes the common misunderstandings of college students on moral kidnapping and its harmfulness.Based on the theoretical definition of moral kidnapping,it is pointed out that there are two kinds of misunderstandings about moral kidnapping.First,some ignores the moral and super-compulsory nature of the requirement.Second,some fails to realize the requesting method must be spiritual mandatory and beyond the society’s general tolerance.These misunderstandings will not only affect the formation of college students’ correct moral understanding,weaken college students’ spirit of responsibility,but also hinder the construction of an ethical social atmosphere.The third part comprehensively analyzes the causes of the college students’ misunderstanding of moral kidnapping.On social level,the root of the misconception may be individuals’ increasingly vague sense of belonging in the transforming society as well as the imperfect public opinion guidance mechanism.On educational level,the misinterpretation can be caused by the lack of relevant theories amid college students’ rising demand for a theoretical perspective on moral kidnapping issues,the scarcity of the cultivation of participants’ speculative ability in discussion of moral kidnapping and the shortage of value guidance among diverse values.On individual level,it derives from college students’ partial understanding of the voluntary nature of Confucian culture and the deviation of their cognition of the relationship between the individual and society.The fourth part focuses on the countermeasures to eliminate the college students’ misunderstanding of moral kidnapping.First of all,the relevant authority should create a new era of ethical social atmosphere.Secondly,educators should enhance the pertinence of ideological and political education.Finally,college students should also strive to improve their theoretical cognitive literacy.With combined efforts,college students may dispel the misunderstanding of moral kidnapping. |
