Learning autonomy is a necessary way for students to better themselves as well as to keep up with the development of our society. Learning autonomy is based on students'strong motivation and a variety of learning strategies. Through the process of learning autonomy, students are no longer passive and dependent, on the contrary, learning autonomy enables students to develop healthy psychological qualities such as self-control , self excite and true desire to learn etc. Education undertakes to educate students, so it is necessary to undertake to train students to learn independently, too. The Chinese language teaching and learning is of great importance in basic education and has its own characteristics and therefore it offers advantages to learning autonomy of students. Teachers of Chinese should create more space and opportunities for our students to stretch their potentials and take advantage of means of learning skills such as exploring study to develop students'ability to take charge of their own learning. Meanwhile, teachers should make it their duty and pleasure to set up totally new educational concepts and to inspire students by setting them a good example .
