Geography , a basic subject, is taking a more and more important position in modern society. With times developing so rapidly, the teaching of geography , both at home and abroad,.is experiencing the reform.Learning evaluation in geography has become quite an important link. Having realised the misunderstanding and errors we've made, we are seeking for a new system of evaluation. Under the background of a new curriculia reform, there has been a high demand for the relevant change in the basic theory ,ways and methods. The new learning evaluation puts emphasis on students'promotion and it is good for their further studies. The principal part of evaluation emphasizes diversity,and the means variety . This geography learning evaluation is something based on the future,that is, developing geography learning evaluation in senior middle schools.As a geography teacher, we should adapt different means of evaluation,and therefore, scientifically and efficiently evaluate the students'learning of geography. Ways of evaluation should be various, means different,process in order,and result objective and scientific. It includes such ways as teachers'assessment, students'self-assessment and students'mutual assessment; by meaans of diagrammatic sketch, outline and questionair;results treatment like grade quantification,language grade and learning report.As is known , we aim to realize the goal of evaluation , advance harmonious development comprehensively and individually ,both physically and mentally,and eventually realize our aim of eduation.
