| We must pay attention to the humanism education in the foundation education,those are not only the request of the developing ages, but also one of the target of the course reforms in new century. These are a lot of contentses concerning education of the humanism accomplishment. Among them ,we pay the most attention to the citizen education which is one of main contentses currently. As the main course of the foundation education ,the history education is chiefly responsible for the citizen education of the school ,and becomes the main battlefield of the citizen education because of its own characteristics and property.Citizen consciousness is one essential component of citizen quality. Qualified citizens are characterized by healthy consciousness, i.e.they are explicitly aware of their rights, obligations, and duties to be impiemented as well. Since the 1980s,with the renaissance of humanistic world outlook"human"itself has been increasingly highlighted. A consensus which has been reached is that more importance should be attached to education in citizen consciousness during the process of"human"cultivation ,particularly for students at their secondary stage, in the sense that they are the key power in the fulfillment of constructing"socialism with Chinese characteristics". They, in addition, are at the crucial period of shaping their philosophy and values .Therefore, it is significant that we realize and inquire the current condition of students citizen consciousness, then explore the relationship between the students citizen consciousness and concrete discipline teaching ,and also the ways to carry it out. It is widely accepted that secondary school students lack citizen consciousness While the public exhibit confused comprehension of the effective methods to strengthen citizen consciousness in history disciline. This paper therefore mainly focuses on the relation between cultivation of students citizen consciousness and history discipline in secondary school .It also covers my tentative thoughts on how to implement it in practice. Hope this will shed light on the following attempts.The main body of this paper has been subcategorized into four sections, which aim to education the relationship mentioned above. The first part definites the concept of citizen and citizen consciousness and the origin of history. The second part of the paper is a partial survey on the citizen consciousness of the senior high school students and analysis of its deficiencies and causes. The third part is an interpretation of the practical significance of fostering the senior high school students'citizen consciousness by the survey. Part four is about the way and methods to foster the senior high school students'citizen consciousness through the history teching. |
