The purpose of this study was to discuss the status of job stress,locus of control and burnout of middle school teachers in Hebei province, and to explore their relationships.513 middle school teachers of 12 middle schools were surveyed in the areas of Tangshan, Hengshui and Handan by the means of stratified cluster sampling. Three Scales which included Job stress Scale for Teachers, Locus of control Scale, and Teachers'Burnout Scale were used. All effective data were analysised by the means of descriptive statistics, multivariate analysis of variance, correlation analysis and regression analysis.The major results indicated that:1 The level of middle school teachers'job stress and burnout in Hebei province were close to the middle on the whole,the level of locus of control is in the middle.2 The teacher who had more internal control perceived more job stress and job burnout.3 Locus of control played a moderating role between job stress and burnout.
