Doctoral Tutor Assessment Index System Research And Practice

21 century is the century with rapid development of different high-techs, which has also asked a lot for the deep development of doctorial education. Doctorial supervisors are the principal part to implement doctorial education, and also the leaders of doctorial students in their academic researches, therefore, doctorial supervisor team construction is the crux to improve the quality of doctorial education. Only quality is assured, can doctorial education develop steadily and greatly. Nowadays, evaluation is the most important approach to guarantee and improve the quality of doctorial education. The evaluations focusing on doctorial supervisor applicants and doctorial supervisors are the specific contents for the evaluation of doctorial supervisor teams, which can improve the quality of doctorial education.On the basis of combining the former evaluation experience, analyzing evaluation status and summarizing the achievements and disadvantages of the evaluation in China, this paper puts forward the study necessity of the evaluation on doctorial supervisors. What's more, depends on researches for general situation and establishment of index system, this paper tries to design a complete evaluation index system, and analyses every index from theory and practice to insure this index system is scientific and feasible. Besides using lots of actual cases to support, some charts are provided in study, which makes professional words more idiographic, visual and persuasive. At the end of the paper, this index system designed by author is compared with the index system used in the doctorial supervisors selection and evaluation work of our university, 2006, so that the theoretic research can be used in practice.
