This investigation focused not only on exploring the factors thatinfluence the senior students to comprehend the given information duringsolving physical problem but also on analyzing the status of the students'information comprehension ability, and then put forward some ways toimprove the students' information comprehension ability, consequentlyadvance the students' physical problem solving ability. On the basis ofthe result of the survey, this paper draws conclusions as follows:1. Many factors influence the students to obtain and omprehend thegiven physical information at a certain extent, for instance basicknowledge, meta-cognition, interferential factors, knowledge rang andthe information presentation. The influence of physics information,meta-cognition, knowledge range is positive; the influence ofinformation presentation and interferential factors is negative.2. A majority of the students obtain and comprehend the giveninformation when they solve physics problem at moderate level. Thisability varies with the grade, and the difference is prominent betweengrade one and grade two, as well as between grade one and grade three,but there are few difference between grade two and grade three.3. Some difference is found between different grade students whenthey obtain and comprehend the given information of the simple literalpresentation, tables, graphs, complicated literal presentation. Thedifference is very significant on the complicated literal presentation. Itindicates different presentation of the information will restrict thestudents to comprehend the given information. This ability will advancewith the comprehensive knowledge and perfect knowledge configuration.4. The ability of the students' comprehension of simple literal information has advantage of graphs, as well as tables and complicatedliteral information. Therefore, we should pay more attention to improvethe students' ability of reading graphs, tables.Based on the above result, we think it is necessary to improve thestudents' comprehension of the given information through many ways,for instance cultivating information consciousness, taking some specialtraining, cultivating the ability of physics reading, develop the ability ofmeta-cognition.
