The objective of this study was to detect link between polymorphism and aerobic endurance of transferrin, in which transferrin gene Exon15 SNP/C1765T site was selected. By using biological approaches to analyze genetic types and allele in a comparison within a total of 123 elite Han athletes and 206 ordinary Han undergraduate students, whether there are genetic types distribution frequency difference between elite distance athletes and control group was determined.102 Chinese Han soldiers underwent 5000m endurance training through out 18 weeks, having a contrast of performance of aerobic endurance, left ventricular structure and functional standard, pre- and post- training in different genetic individual. Ultimately propose on this study was to conclude the probability transferrin gene polymorphism is the molecular biological standard of genetic selectivity. This study indicates, distribution frequency of CC type of Tf gene Exon15 SNP/C1765T from people of the Han nationality of northern China was 52%, and TT type was 8%; where C allele was 72%, and T allele was 28%. Compare with previous report, distribution frequency of CC type and C allele were significant lower than British and French population(P<0.01), but no significant difference with population of Japan, Korea and Southern China.Among Athletes group, distribution frequency of CC type was 61%, CT type was 37%, and TT type was 2%. CC type and C allele genome type were significant higher than control group(P≤0.05).This result indicates that Exon15 SNP/C1765T genotype CC of Tf gene can be considered as one of the criteria for elite endurance athletes'selection.Distribution frequency of Tf gene Exon15 SNP/C1765T of athletes and control group was compared according to gender. In male group, there were no significant difference between genome frequency and allele frequency; in female group, CC genome group showed higher frequency than control; A tendency towards lower frequency was found in CT and TT genome type, however, the frequency difference was not significant (p=0.07); C allele frequency was significant higher than control group (P<0.05).One critical observation of this study was Tf gene Exon15 SNP/C1765T related to VO2max and AT parameter, but not RE. CC genome type showed it's hypersensitivity response to endurance training, TT type is the least sensitive type, and sensitivity of CT type was lower than CC type but higher than TT type. Other observation was Tf gene Exon15 SNP/C1765T associated with some parameters of left ventricle structure and function. The hearts of three genome types appeared adaptive adjustment post- endurance training, which CC type was more significant than CT type; TT type was the least sensitive type. Indicate that Exon15 SNP/C1765T of Tf gene can be the monitor criteria for aerobic endurance training sensitivity.
