CBE(Competence Based Education), developed in our country in the last twenty years, is a new educational idea with its emphasis on the training and development of students'capability. Its basic aim is not only to teach knowledge, more importantly to develop students'ability, which is not the natural result of teaching knowledge. The development of ablity not only relies on the master degree of knowledge, but also on the practice to solve problems under complex conditions. Its feature is to carry out teaching at the centure of developing ablity in order to improve the harmony development of students'knowledge, ability and diathesis by training their practice ability. Currently, systematic practical studies on CBE are still lacking in optional gymnastic course on higher physical education. On the basis of logical analysis of CBE's concept intention, combined with the present situation in ShanDong province, this study is aiming at education model construction in optional gymnastic course by means of situation indagation and research, poll investigation, experts accessing and teaching practice, etc.Regarding CBE idea as theory guidance, based on subject characteristic and educational situation, the author attempts to research good methods to progress students'special capability by module study in theory, carte teaching in technique and practice training in capability, in accordance with society's development. First, on the basis of teaching situation of opitional gymnastic in Shandong province, this paper analysis the limitation of contents, surface of pattern and non-same construction of evaluation index, which exist in the ability development. Through extensive research and analysis, this paper finds seven factors that compose the gymnastic talent in Shandong Province, establish the teaching target on how to develop students'ability in opitional gymnastic and then divide the goal into into different levels. Second, according to the theory of CBE idea, this paper foems the basic frame model of CBE idea in opitional gymnastic course and analyze the teaching method with teaching practice. Third, this paper allies ferfy method to define loefficient about the cultivating index on four abilities and also formulate the chart about examination and evaluation.According to the result of the research, we can get some conclusions as follows: the CBE teaching model, which derives from the vocational teaching field, can be applied in the teaching revolution in opitional gymnastical course. On the premise of not to destroy the former education system, thia model can transfer teaching centure and use the proper teaching situation effectively to stimulate students'study zeal, which can make students become active to study and progress. Aslo, this paper can promote the formation and development of students'ability about their major, so it can resolve the contradition between education and requiement of society, cultivate gymnastic talents that can adapt to the society and personal development to push gymnastics'role on the"overall exercise".
