Examination is always the basic method of educational evaluation and teaching measurement, but also the important means of selecting talent. College Entrance Examination of Chinese language also have these functions and duties. The same with the Chinese College Entrance Examination, America's College Entrance Examination - SAT has also been given such a mission. The United States is well-known by the quality education, in fact it did not cancel the examination. SAT, representative of the examination for high school graduates to enter university , is also a stepping stone to university.Today, quality education is promoting, what inspiration can educational mode of the United States give us ?This paper intends to analyse SAT first, then compare reading and writing of SAT and College Entrance Examination Chinese in China. By contrast, the mother-tongue education of the two countries conduct more in-depth analysis and research, through contrast, the reform of China's education and language may get useful thought.The full text is divided into six parts, the first part discusses the need of the examination. The second part introduces SAT systematically, introduce the background, institutions, the development, as well as time, content, scores , mechanism and impact in the United States and the globe. The third part analyses the paper of the SAT, the content, structure and examinations perspective, to explore the cause of this difference, the different cultural backgrounds, values, social environment, educational system and the concept of talent. The fourth and the fifth parts study reading, writing of SAT and our College Entrance Examination of Chinese , and gradually went down to the reading, and writing teaching, to inquire American reading, writing and teaching proposition bring enlightenment and thinking to our mother-tongue teaching. Part six explore what China may learn from the SAT model, and SAT used in China could have questions of how to reform the curriculum and enrollment system.Current research on the college entrance examination usually from the college entrance examination papers over the years, it's the longitudinal comparative analysis of evolution. Some compare teaching of the areas such as the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, Hong Kong or Singapore, but their mother tongue is Chinese. Comparison between Chinese and English is less. Based on this, this paper study by comparison what merits we can learn from the United States . This is the innovation of this paper.
