21th century is information society. For the development of science and technology, people need more cooperative consciousness and cooperative ability. Cooperative learning became more and more important to students.Achievement motivation is the inner power of achieving succeed which the one think important and valuable. Achievement motivation is important for not only a person, but also for a nation. D.C.McClelland had found that achievement motivation can achieve and improve through training. Then, Can cooperative learning improve students'achievement motivation? This paper wanted to know the relation of cooperative learning to achievement motivation.The author discussed the effect of cooperative learning to achievement motivation through experiment and interview. At the same time, The author took use of the AMS to test the level of students'achievement motivation. Before the experiment, we grouped the students into two group. The research have found that, after the experiment, one group's level of achievement motivation and achievement succeed was higher than the other's, one group's level of avoiding feat was lower than the other's. The result showed that, cooperative learning can improve the level of achievement motivation and the level of achieving succeed. At the same time, cooperative learning can reduce the level of avoiding feat.For cooperative learning can improve achievement motivation, the author think that we should take use of cooperative learning to improve achievement motivation. How to take use of cooperative learning to improve achievement motivation? The following measures can improve achievement motivation. First, make the students know the tenet of learning. Second, assistant the students to know appropriate target. Third, help the students to attribute properly. Forth, assistant the students conquer the dread of feat. Fifth, know the relation of cooperative and competition. And, improve the students'self- opinion, offer abundant and timely feedback. Last but not the least, take use of the teachers'function.
