Jinan City Junior High School Implementation Of The "sports And Health Standards Survey

The reform of PE and health education system plays an important part in the elementary education reform. In July"The Standard about Curriculum of Sports and Health"was set and carried out in the part of 38 experimental districts in September. Since the fall of 2004 this reform has been conducted in Jinan. In this year,Some problems has been found as well as the successful experience.This thesis took 349 junior middle school teachers and 858 students within the 10 districts of Jinan as the subjects, utilizing many techniques about skimming over literatures surveying,statistical analysis and questionnaire. The author tried to know the current state of PE and Health education of Jinan. Such as : the plans,demands and other details of the standard of curriculum .The results revealed:(1) The charge department of Jinan has taken great importance to physical and health education course reform. They established some documents and plans. But, since schools have different levels and some schools don't pay enough attention .the reform has various results in the rural and urban areas.(2) Most teachers in Jinan are well-educated and are trained after the reform, so they had understood of this reform, and they can change their roles actively. But some teachers still rather conservative and need to improving his work style.(3) Junior schools in Jinan can have more than two PE classes every week. In some schools, because students take part in extracurricular sports without teaching, they don't ensure the time and the quality of activity. Even some schools have two school timetables. The results show that it is an important factor that impacts the new curriculum standard.(4) The teachers should make sure changes on the organization of the class, the teaching methods and the standard of the assessments.(5) On the exploit of the teaching resources, lots of teachers tried, but the results are not satisfactory.According to these analyses, the suggestions are made based on the reform and the current situation of physical education and health education in Jinan: (1) Perfect the strategy of school PE managements and accelerate the system of assessment and supervision.(2) Reform the education manageable system and develops the quality of service.(3) Develop the training quality and make the teachers more capable for their job.(4) Set up the education study system and the appraise assessment system.(5) Study more and change the mind .conduct the"standard"deeply.(6) Plunge more government resource and get more support from the society to ameliorate the PE resource level.
