Settings On The Middle "cube And Mathematics Elective Courses And Implementation Of Research

According to the issue of the mathematical curriculum of compulsory education by Education Department of China in July 2001, we have updated our knowledge of the curriculum with new teaching ideas. We are encouraged to invent versatile selective courses that are suitable for teenagers' study. It is especially difficult for math, such a traditional subject to get free from the conventional form and pioneer a new way of study. Therefore, the invention and arrangements of the course become a new problem in math study and practice. And we math teachers and researchers are facing this problem right now.Rubik's Cube is an interesting toy which is good for intelligence. There is a lot of mathematics in its structure and solving process. In general, students will be fired up by playing. Therefore I choose to open a selective course based on Cube. With the development of mathematical education, we pay more attention to students' interests, motivation and learning approach. Taking this into consideration, I think it might as well be a beneficial course to unfold to the students the abstract theory of math.The thesis consists of three parts: firstly, the introduction to the Rubik's and math study, the idea and point of the course with the analysis of the document; secondly, the arrangement of the course; thirdly, the summary about the implement.
