As a common phenomenon nowadays,the majority of middle school students don't participate in class discussion,especially in physics learning.To promote students'awareness of learning on their own initiative and encourage them to participate willingly and to enjoy questioning,recent research has been carried out and gained many achievements in the sense of theory and paractice.However,the research is focused on the aspect of teaching,which is insufficient.The general realization of low involvement is still vague,in which there is no clear clarification.Through a large quantity of surveys and interviews,this essay is aimed at revealing this phenomenon by probing the causes in terms of students,teaching materials and teachers.The novelty of this essay is as follows:Firstly,the object is directed against the students in senior middle schools.Secondlly,the emphasis is placed upon physics learning.Meanwhile,the conclusion is based on practical investigation.Thirdlly,the aim is to raise several functional proposals.
