Under the background, Electronic Portfolio Assessment as a new evaluation method comes into the view of information technology teachers. The e-portfolio assessment can reflect the process and effect of students' learning by the way of which the teachers assess collected works, reflections, and other evidences from students.Firstly, this paper studies the basic theory of the e-portfolio assessment and sums up the advantages and disadvantages of its application. Secondly, according to the objectives and features of information technology courses in high schools and the questionnaire survey on the students' assessment of subjects, this paper presents a feasibility analysis of the e-portfolio assessment. Through the action research of teachers, the e-portfolio assessment is applied in information technology courses in high schools so as to assess and study the learning process of students.Through the study, this paper presents the collected content in the electronic portfolio for the information technology subject as well as the frequency of the collection, formulates different assessment standards and implementation strategies for different assessed essentials, concludes the basic process of implementing the e-portfolio assessment, and proposes solutions to problems during the assessment process. The whole study effectively explores and attempts the assessment method in information technology courses.During the process of the study, the common used methods in the e-portfolio assessment are analyzed. The storage, management, display, and assessment of the e-portfolio assessment can be implemented by the method of "application folder". The method is easy and economical, which can serve as a guide to the schools with a limited technical force and poor hardware conditions.
