The introduction of portfolio in education has great significance in accumulating the development of both the teachers and the students. It's totally new to the electrical system, including the visual data,the written charts and drawn pictures together with common assessments.The electronicism of portfolios has brought a convenient,fast and effective way in the management of portfolios.Thus it may make great contributions to saving teacher's precious time,together with students' participation in the managemeat.This thesis first analyses some basic theories of e-portfolios assessment to point out its characteristics and advantages. Second, show the surveys widely done on different students of different levels, upon which the author concludes the requirements of information technology from e-portfolios.To make the e-portfolio assessment more convincible and objective, we made the criterias of the assessment before our experiment. The thesis does researches in three aspectsrthe criterias of assessment,the technological strategies of development,the design of the platform and the application of the assessment system. Then it proposes the desiging rules and technological strategies of using e-portfolio in the real teaching. The research has been successfully applied in the Ace Class with a guidance ideology on its effective function.In fact, this technology has been successfully used in information technology teaching in Junior Middle School. The author has also recognized the position and function of e-portfolio in the teaching of modern information technology through the feedbacks. The next plan on the agerda should be the improvement of the theories and products, together with the optimization of the assessment system itself, which can be the driven force for further research.
