High schools in Jiangsu Province have implemented the new course standards of geography since September, 2005. The value orientation of the new course standards pays as much attention to the course goals as to its process while implementing the new standards. Besides the goal of attitude and value orientation, the new course standard also put forward other two detailed dimensional goals of knowledge and skills, process and method. According to the value orientation of the new course standard of high school geography, the implementing of the new standard calls for a reform of the traditional practice of the teaching evaluation of high school geography, while the course evaluation also demands the evaluation against the students' studying process, so that the overall development of the students might be achieved. The process evaluation has become the focus of the new geographic curse evaluation study of nowadays. Great achievements have been made in the study. Meanwhile, a lot of problems are to be solved.After carefully analyzing and studying the development of teaching evaluation, as well as goals and principles of the new high school geography, and combining the features of the teaching process under the instruction of the new standard, the writer of the article has, directed at some existing problems, put forward the new principles of the high school geography teaching process evaluation and has designed a new network model of the principles, based on the new standard. The writer has design a set of charts based on the required course of High School Geography Book 1. The writer conducted the experiment in Grade One of her School in September, 2007. The results of the experiment turned out to be satisfactory after evaluating the students' knowledge and skill, process and method and attitude orientation. However, the writer also discovered some problems.
