Digital Repository Infrastructure Strategy To Support Independent Learning

Rapid development of computer network technology provides a large number of digital resources and various types of digital resource bases for learners, which offers sufficient learning resources for self-regulated learning. However, compared with other types of learning, self-regulated learning has distinct characteristics, i.e. learners can work out learning objectives, choose learning resources, control learning process and appraise learning results all by themselves. Therefore, how to let the digital resource base better support the self-regulated learning is a subject worth researching. So self-regulated learning gets ample study resources.Firstly, through analyzing domestic and foreign cases of developing digital learning resource bases and various theories on self-regulated learning, the article gets to know the characteristics of the development of resource bases and self-regulated learning at current stage. And then it analyzes the reciprocities between the learners and digital learning resource bases, reveals the role that the digital resource base should play in self-regulated learning and advances general ideas of building a digital resource base that supports self-regulated learning. Subsequently, focusing on improving the efficiency of self-regulated learning, the article discusses the construction of the digital resource base supporting self-regulated learning from two sides, i.e. providing required digital learning resources for the learners and the inspiration of the resource base for them. With such methods as theoretical derivation and investigation through questionnaires, the article mainly researches the organizational structure, content development, function setting and so on concerning the resource base as well as puts forward a series of strategies of building the digital resource base supporting self-regulated learning.Though discussing the development strategy of the digital resource base, the article attaches importance to theoretical basis. Meanwhile, it emphasizes technical feasibility. Under the direction of these strategies, the author has carried out the development of the resource base and will constantly test and improve these strategies in practice.
