Through having a review of use status of digital learning resources in English Teachingand developing higher order thinking skills, and found that the use of digital learningresources has far-reaching impact on the cultivation of the higher order thinking skills.This paper first, defined the target level of content standards of junior middle schoolEnglish curriculum standards, and summed up the content standards for students higher orderthinking skills.Through making an overall characteristic analysis of contest lesson, determine the objectof study and select the sample. Using of quantitative and qualitative methods, have anutilization analysis of competition lesson digital learning, and summarized the methods andprinciples of the use of digital learning resources.Finally, combining of “the suitable content standards for students higher order thinkingskills” and “methods and principles of the use of digital learning resources of junior middleschool English reading curriculum”, design a junior middle school English reading class casefor higher order thinking skills developing.
