Management Research, Teaching University Network Teaching Platform

With rapid development of online education, teaching platform based on the network, as a new instructional mode, has become a hot topic in online teaching. Although online education gains much experience and achievements, it still has some drawbacks. First, little importance is attached to network teaching platform, traditionally attention is only paid to developing courseware and the role of teaching platform is neglected. Second, teaching mode is single, teaching activities, especially teaching process, are poorly supported and managed. Third, network teaching platform is incompetent, online teaching is a great challenge for those who are accustomed to traditional teaching.Most study of network teaching platform focuses on development of teaching materials, application of teaching technology, teaching modes and network technology. Little is concerned about teaching management. But in online teaching platform, great change happens to the content, method, means compared to ordinary teaching management. The new teaching mode brings new problems that how a teacher manages knowledge and how to evaluate and manage students.Based on the theory of knowledge management, this thesis analyzes the teaching situation and existing problems in online teaching, and presents the content network teaching management. With the analysis of the difference and link between network teaching platform and traditional classroom teaching, the thesis explores the patterns of network teaching management and the factors that influence network teaching management. Then it presents the strategies of network teaching management. Lastly the thesis makes a case study, focusing on the characteristics of Blackboard with the application of network teaching management.
